The Future Living Lab’s motto, “from lab to live”, is embodied by our multidisciplinary team of architects, engineer, and scientists who work together to deliver viable solutions to building materials, design, and construction; all for a greener future including environmental sustainability as well as improvement of health and well-being.

WHY US?
Our team of architects, engineers, and scientists has extensive experience in the subjects of housing design, digital fabrication, and materials innovation. We care about adding fresh and diverse perspectives to the conversation, and do so via active collaboration with students and the youth at large. This helps us plant conceptual seeds of sustainability for the future generation to cultivate and own. Our work in sustainability spans a wide range of collaborations with different industries, non-profit organizations, social enterprises, and government agencies, both at the local as well as international scale.
Material Innovation
We focus our research on materials that are locally sourced, renewable, and lightweight. Our interests are not confined to the physical properties of these materials, but expands to socio-economic as well as psychological implication that these materials may have on people’s life.
Living Solutions
We utilize and integrate our research work along with our students’ learnings to design and build energy-efficient dwelling prototypes, of which we have received awards from multiple international competitions. Our prototypes explored the possibilities of energy efficiency in the context of improving local living conditions.
Construction Solutions
We also work on prefabrication and digital fabrication in collaboration with different industries to make construction more efficient and more green.
